The long-tailed macaque troops that dominate the forest during daylight hours have settled for the night, and the ancient Pura Dalem temple ruins emerge from the darkness in a completely different light — literally.

Walking the stone paths by lantern light, with the calls of night insects replacing the chattering of monkeys, the forest reveals its deeper spiritual character.
